During the past three years I have
been compiling the 84 year history of our family business, which
has grown from a milk truck owned and operated by my father into a
Corporation operating 1300 buses in Victoria, Western Australia and
South Australia and a bus building division, manufacturing bus
bodies in Victoria, Western Australia, Queensland, Malaysia and the
Emirates.
We now have over 2000
employees.
When I commenced this project I was
referred toTina Blackmur byWarren Smith, the Holden dealer who had
employed Tina in a similar project.
So as to glean a more accurate account
of the company history, Tina conducted interviews with many past
and present Grenda personnel. She was responsible for
collating the resultant information and writing the initial
histories of Grenda’s smaller acquired bus companies, including
Portsea Passenger Services, Peninsula Bus Lines, Frankston
Passenger Services and Moorabbin Transit.
Tina relates extremely well with
people and has been invaluable on this project in all areas. She
has thoroughly documented and structured all of the work she
processed, which has enabled effective recall at very short
notice.
My project has been large and Tina has
undertaken other writing assignments concurrently. She is now
very experienced, with the ability to assist in any research,
history type project

When I
decided to write a book about my late father’s life I sought an
